I have a clear bra kit that came factory from the dealer. Some people say that I should get one from a shop that does clear bra because it protects my car better??? Why is that?
From what I'm seeing the kits don't protect as much of the hood. My friend had a kit installed by the dealer and it didn't even go to the edg. I think you need to go to a shop that does more than 1 or 2 cars a week. When I get some time I'm going to go over to Touch of Shade and talk with them in person. Good luck.
Here is the truth about Clear Bra Kit or no kit Clear bra does and will protect your car from the elements on the road such as flying debris, gravel and sand. The difference is this, kits our cut to the shape of the hood on the top. Simply put the material sits a little back from the edge of the hood leaving the very front edge of the hood still vulnerable to rock chips. Custom cut for each car means that the clear bra is wrapped under the edge of the hood protecting the front edge as well. There is typically is no cost difference and most guys doing wraps are using 3m film which is simply the best film out there.
